Murchison Falls

Monday and Tuesday consisted of a long drive to Murchison Falls where we took a two hour boat ride up the Nile seeing baboons, hippos, water buffalo, warthogs and crocodiles! CRAZY! AMAZING!

we had some childlike company...wished I couldve taken my boys on this trip! They would've LOVED IT!













Tuesday was the game drive, picking up an armed guard to ride with us was a little nerve wracking…but driving through the reserve knowing these animals were in their natural habitat was the coolest experience. Giraffes, elephants, warthogs and LIONS!!









The Lions were too close for comfort and at one point growled and lunged at our van! Thinking the armed guard would hold tight to his gun and defend us if needed and then sadly disappointed when he jumped higher then anyone else in the van and began casually rolling up his window:(




Then it was time to see the WATERFALLS…. UNBELIEVABLE!




It was the longest trip back to the hotel as we went through the most rural villages to avoid traffic in the cities…I can honestly say I not only feared for my life a little but I more importantly feared for the lives of the pedestrians around us. Our driver was out of control. We knew he knew what he was doing but it did not make the trip any less of a nail biter! Oh what an adventure!

Let's just say we praised our father in heaven when we saw our hotel sign!!!
